We have survived the coldest night of the winter -- so far -- but the frigid conditions did not faze these birds that were out on the Ottawa River as usual.
It amazes me how the birds make it through such extreme cold! (Our outdoor thermometers read -36C on Monday!) I do notice they go through the seed in our feeders a lot faster on days like that.
Brrrrrrrrrr... here in the "south" - like 5 hours south, that is, our morning temp was -25C/-15F...you beat us, but not by much!
