Summer hummer

We know that we have reached the peak of summer when the hummingbirds are flitting around.

They are fast, beautiful and territorial, as we have learned from witnessing some high-flying skirmishes between two opposing hummers.

How did you do that?
These guys are so fast, I barely get my carera, and they are in the next county!
Great beautiful timely shot!

Watching hummingbirds has always been a favourite summer activity. Like you said, they are fast and beautiful. They are also curious and very brave. I have had one come right up to my face, just checking me out. Love your picture of this one, right beside the bee balm in a green, green world (almost like they are underwater!).

I don't seem to have hummers at my bee balm... lots and lots of bees, though! Great photo!
