Ah, spring, the time when sap runs, geese return and potholes swallow cars.
Occasionally, the craters will reach out and remove hub caps, depositing them on the side of the road, in a macabre ritual symbolizing another victory of Mother Nature over Man and his pitiful machines, and that cold patch.

I know potholes are awful for cars, but they are a sign of spring, and I will take any signs of spring right now. Love the photo of the road with the cracks and muddy holes.
That hubcap looks like a flying saucer on an alien land ( invasion of the hubcap snatchers?)
The way the potholes have been multiplying - it does feels like an alien land!
